Case study

Earth Resources Laboratory

Client: MIT Earth Resources Laboratory (ERL)

Services: information architecture, usability testing

The existing site was out-dated, difficult to maintain, not mobile compliant, and had been casually added to over the years. I recommended using MIT’s Drupal Cloud to model a new information architecture.

Over the course of many client team meetings, we came to concensus on a new site structure. Using a customized instance of my “DLC Theme,” I built out the site and carried out usability testing with a variety of ERL’s audience members.

After making a few adjustments based on the results of the usability tests, the Drupal Cloud site was taken over by the design and development team who used my Drupal Cloud instance as a base from which to build out the final site.
